We are in search of talented,  experienced and professional Video Editor to join our dedicated team in Lagos, Nigeria.

   Job Description

As a Video Editor, you will focus on applying your expertise in shooting, editing and producing high resolution videos that are worthy of broadcasting across all social media platforms. You will be working with the use of the best and latest video equipments, softwares and editing techniques to accurately reflect the vision of the production director.

   Duties and Responsibilities

* Shoot videos and produce contents as necessary.

* Trim footage and putting together the rough project.

* Input background music, dialogues, graphics and effects.

* Exports videos and facilitates mobile and web distribution.

* Ensure the project follows in a logical and coherent sequence.

* Ensure compliance with the highest  level of journalist standards.

* Review shooting script and raw material to determine the shot list.

* Manipulate film and video footage with the use of modern editing techniques.

* Adjusts formats and file sizes as appropriately to be accepted by all social media platforms.

* Meet with the director to determine production vision and ensure that the video production reflects the vision.

   Minimum Job Requirements

* Cover letter.

* CV/Resume.

* BSc in film studies, cinematography or related field.

* At least 2 years of work experience as a video editor directly and responsibilities specified.

* Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for work experience on a year for year basis.

   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

* Artistic and storytelling skills.

* Creative and innovative mind.

* Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.

* Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing.

* Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles.

* Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages such as Avid Media Composer, Light-works, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut.
