We are in search of a professional and experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes of our team in Lagos, Nigeria.

 

   Job Description

As a Human Resource Manager you will be responsible for supervising the entire hiring process, from recruiting, interviewing and hiring of new staff. Parts of your job will    also be to build our brand as a great employer, build strategic talent resource plans, improve employee relation, administer pay-roll and bridge the relationship between management and employees in solving work related issues.

 

   Duties and Responsibilities

* Manage the process of recruiting and selecting excellent staff.

* Train, counsel, and coach staff to enable them maximise their skills and talent.

* Resolve conflicts professionally through positive intervention and reconciliation.

* Conduct employee performance and wage reviews to reflect organisation standard.

* Respect, protect and maintain the privacy of all employees and that of the workplace.

* Ensure the organisation’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations on labour.

* Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, investigations of wrong doings and terminations.

* Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.

* Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.

* Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organisation.

* Create and implement salary and compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys.

 

   Minimum Job Requirements

* BSc degree Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.

*  At least 2 years of experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

* Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

 

  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

* People oriented and results driven.

* Ability to listen, present, negotiate, and communicate effectively.

* Knowledge of HR systems, Human Resources metrics and databases.

* Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork.

* Skill in organising human resources, establishing priorities, and work efficiently.

*  Ability to work effectively in an ethnically diverse and international environment.

* Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws as relates to labour and employees.

* Knowledge and ability in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* Ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

* Ability to communicate proficiently in English language,  and knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
