GlobeKonect Marketing & Distribution is a multi diversified company that deals in the marketing and global distribution of various consumer products for different manufacturers and companies throughout the world. We are looking for a knowledgable and experienced Financial Accountant who will be responsible for handling our accounting and financial activities in Lagos, Nigeria.

 

   Job Description

As a Financial Accountant, your job will be to prepare income statements, balance sheets, organise internal audits, gather and monitor financial data. You will also be required to manage the company tax payments, forecast costs and revenues, as well as support the top management decisions with reliable financial analysis.

 

   Duties and Responsibilities

* Create KPI reports.

* Advise on estimates for project funding.

* Manage and training staff when necessary.

* Comply with state and federal tax regulations.

* Conduct internal audits such as wage reviews.

* Oversee tax payments, reporting and inventory processing.

* Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.

* Collect and analysing data needed for preparing weekly and monthly estimates.

* Prepare budgets, weekly cash flow statements, and controlling cash flow and expenditure.

* Examine financial records to check for accuracy and reporting on accounting inconsistencies.

 

   Minimum Job Requirements

* At least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

* BSc/HND degree in Accountancy or Finance. Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant qualification is a strong advantage.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for work experience on a year for year basis.

* Efficient time management skills.

* Ability to uphold and maintain confidentiality.

* Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.

* A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.

* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

* Demonstrable ability to multi-task in time constraint situations and adhere to deadlines.
